Meditation Monday

Hey Monday,

Let's discuss the meaning of the word flow, shall we?

This isn't the first time you've seen that word used in a Meditation Monday blog post and it will not be the last!

Flow

Verb (used without object)

To move along in a stream

In other words, allow. Do not fight to swim upstream but instead allow the current to carry you.

What I've noticed is many people have an issue with the word flow. Yep, she offended you a bit didn't she? So I'm here to bust some myths about this word/idea/practice today!

1. Flow does not mean your hands aren't on the wheel. By all means, please keep driving the car. No universal fairy is going to make every turn for us.

2. Flow works with inspired action. This means you go to work every day and do your thing! Keep rocking it and when you get a gut feeling that you should pitch a new project, go for it! You know you're working WITH flow if you ALLOW these awesome ideas to unfold.

3. Flow does not like when you try to control things. She will laugh in your face and you'll waste a whole lot of time being mad at yourself. Why try to control every single detail when you know flow will allow it to come together easily if you just let go? (I struggle with this one a lot!)

4. Flow likes it when you believe in her. She's got feelings too and wants to know you trust she will take care of things. If you trust flow, the reward will be tenfold. If you're thinking of resisting, refer back to #3.

5. Flow is pretty magical. She likes when you set intentions. Bonus points if you write them down! She works well from a to-do list and always goes above and beyond if you can accept #1-4.

Feeling better about flow? I wanted to share how I believe we can work with flow in order to live a much easier and happier life.

I'd love to know, do you practice flow in your everyday life?
