Fall Candle Haul

I am over the moon excited about this post because shopping for candles in (or before) the fall is one of my favorite things! There are a variety of styles and scents, so I'm going to share my finds and preferences in a fall candle!

Here in Dallas we have access to a gorgeous candle store in the Bishop Arts District called Society by Jackson Vaughn. They carry a variety of brands so I knew I had to stop here first on my fall candle mission. Every time I go I discover a new brand and I knew it would be fun to try something different I had never burned before.

The first candles I was drawn to were the Jackson Vaughn proprietary collection. There is a special line out just for fall and I loved the scent Hudson. I'm not a scent conoisseur but to me this smelled like pine trees and I knew I would love it it through fall and winter.

I ran around the store to smell pretty much every candle until I discovered the brand Tatine. Obviously their packaging is what caught my eye but the scents got me hooked! I chose their scent St. John's Wood which is described as "smoldering chimney smoke dried vines + brick walls. Yes, I love those campfire scents just as long as they aren't too strong and this one is the perfect balance.

Last fall I fell in love with the candle brand P.F. Candle Co. so I knew I needed to try out another one of their scents. There are many retailers now that carry this brand so I ran into my local Urban Outfitters and picked up the scent Fig & Sandalwood. I love the scents of fig and sandalwood individually and together combine perfectly. The creamy fig scent cuts through the sharpness of the sandalwood. This is definitely a fragrance so would be a good transition candle if you're afraid of the smokier/spicier scents

The last candle I picked up at Society was also initially chosen by its vessel. Himalayan candles sit in a distressed tin holder with a stained wooden lid. So cute! I wasn't too sure about the scent Tobacco Bark when I first read the name but it remind me of the scent of waking up by the lake, outdoorsy with a hint of sweetness.

Last but most certainly not least I went to fall candle heaven, Bath and Body Works. What do they do best in my opinion? Marshmallow scented candles! Their candle Marshmallow Fireside has been a fall staple of mine for years. It smells like s'mores, what else could you ask for?! The other scent I've never had before and is called Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte. I barely smell pumpkin in this which is good for me because the coffee and marshmallow are what got my attention.

When it comes to fall candles I definitely prefer the warm, smoky, creamy scents instead of the spicy, pumpkin, sweet scents. I swear, Bath and Body Works has turned any potentially pumpkin containing food into a candle and they are all sickly sweet to me.

What are your favorite fall candles to pick up and which one should I burn first?!

Thanks for stopping by!
