Embracing the Multipotentialite

Over the last two years, I've watched well over 100 TED Talks. Yesterday, A friend of mine shared this particular video on Facebook and it got me so excited I just had to share it with EVERYONE. And how does one do that? The internet.

I’ve always been an idea person. I love coming up with new ideas and sharing them with the people around me. There's something so interesting about hearing other people’s perspectives on the world [ in my opinion, there’s no better way to learn. ] This obsession with ideas goes hand in hand with the fact that I take interest in a variety of topics. Want to talk about Kirstin Gillibrand's fight against sexual assault on college campuses, my obsession with Big Sean, or the perfect gluten free flour combo? I’m all ears.

There’s something slightly sinister about having interests outside of your chosen major or career. Which is honestly the most ridiculous idea I have ever bought into. I should be able to have interests outside of interior design without feeling like I’m cheating on my job.

This TED talk by Emilie Wapnick taught me that it’s ok to love a bunch of different things that appear to have nothing in common. Because at the end of the day they all do have one thing in common, you, a Multipotentialite.

Please watch, it will not disappoint! Thank you for reading!
