Loving Lately

These days I share a lot of things I’m loving over on Instagram stories. I know not everyone who reads the blog uses Instagram and honestly I kind of miss compiling these lists of “favorites” so I put one together for summer!

We have quite the mix of items on this list from my favorite recent mug find to the music I’ve been turning up while driving around DFW.

Of course I’m going to start with the newest member of the Farrow|Lance family! Meet Wilder, named after Gene Wilder (Richard Pryor’s comedic BFF). We adopted him from a sweet foster family in Fort Worth and he is such a joy to have around! He and Richie play all day and it warms my kitty mama heart!

THE HOME EDIT

If you’re not following The Home Edit, you’re not paying attention. These ladies are hilarious, enjoy rainbows, organizing, both born in California and are pretty Jewish so we’re basically family.

They released a book earlier this year and just came out with a collaboration with THE CONTAINER STORE. Everything is beautiful and lovely and they inspire me daily. My top picks for getting organized:

DRINKWARE

Terracotta Mugs

Earth tones, fun designs, and a cute shape make for the perfect mug!

Unicorn Glassware

Toss those old plastic cups and grab one of these every time you want a glass of water. Magic!

MUSIC

I’m an all-around music lover and driving around town rocking out in my car is my happy place! You know how some people say they get the best ideas in the shower? That’s me in the car.

My current favorite artist is Luke Combs. His music is fun and carefree and I hear he’s hilarious (I know people who live in Nashville so I can say things like that now.) When It Rains It Pours is my JAM.

SELF CARE

Recently self care has looked a lot like drawing/sketching/doodling. Even though my job does fall into the creative category it felt nice to make something just because/for myself. It can be easy to fall into a routine and forget to do something for yourself that fills you up creatively. I’ve even considered bringing my easel out from the storage unit to paint. I already have all of these supplies!

So when was the last time you made something just for fun? This could be art but could also look like cooking or even writing!

I’ve enjoyed following Morgan Harper Nichols because she shares the absolute best quotes! This one stuck with me and I saved it on my phone so I will leave you with this:
